Perched on a steep ravine, with stunning views of the jungle and ocean, the "Cliff House" is an architectural marvel. Featuring a dramatic forty foot wide sweeping "curved" roof line held up by a 22 ft. native Ohia tree, Hale Pali Ku was built, and is operated, by an anthropologist, artist, and environmental educator.
With tropical indoor/outdoor living, you'll discover artifacts built into every nook. Each suite features built in carved Balinese doors, outdoor showers with Victorian rain head showers with amazing attention to artistic detail.
The unique design of this 2,250 square foot home features 2 queen size beds, 1 king size bed, and 2 full size futons. 2.5 bathrooms, along with an outside shower, 1 bathtub and 1 Jacuzzi tub.
Kuiaha Suite:
Provides privacy and amazing ocean view
This 1,600 sq ft. second level suite offers a lofted bedroom and a master bedroom that has a built in bed nook with a stained glass window. Seamless boundaries are created throughout, as the carved teak wall slides open between the master bedroom and living room. Similarly, custom accordion glass doors slide open to create a 16 ft. opening between the living room and 600 ft. lanai. Once on the lanai, lounge on the custom Balinese dining platform and gaze over the hot tub and jungle to see ships pass in the distance and whales jump! Three stained glass windows, seven carved Balinese doors, a carved marble outdoor shower, Moroccan lighting, hardwood throughout, all windows custom milled with mitered glass corners, copper sink, and art built into each nook and cranny

Our botanical garden has over 100 fruit trees and many rare native Hawaiian plants. Examples of a few of our exotic tropical fruit trees are Jaboticaba, Bread Fruit (staple Polynesian food), Cacao (chocolate), Mountain Apple, Noni (cancer fighting), Mangosteen (high in antioxidents), Cinnamon, etc. We feature one native lobelia so rare, it is now extinct in the wild. Hale Pali Ku also has a vegetable garden you may harvest from when making delectable meals on your Maui Vacation.
